Filling out the horn section of the Max Rebo Band is the Rodian musician Doda Bodonawieedo. Doda, along with Barquin D'an and Droopy McCool, was a skilled wind instrument player.

The harsh rule of Navik the Red and his strict anti-emigration policies meant that few Rodians ever left their homeworld. Those who did were often successful entertainers with the clout to escape, or fugitives risking it all. Doda Bodonawieedo's family consisted of the latter.

Doda was born on a transport shuttle and raised in the port city of Mos Eisley on Tatooine. He grew up with a disdain of traditional Rodian culture, yet with an affinity for classical Rodian music.
